I am a human being based in Tokyo who codes, translates, and dabbles in various things.
I am interested in randomness, play, places, light, and sound.
This website was lovingly hand-coded with pure HTML energy.

Somewhat useful things I have created. I like creating useful things for extremely small audiences.
Many of my friends live in different cities all around the world. I love sending cards and little packages and things but I am always asking for people's mailing addresses again and again.
I also want to be better about wishing my friends a happy birthday.
To solve both of these problems, I created Tomodex as a digital rolodex for myself, as I prefer a browser-based solution as opposed to native address book or contacts apps tightly coupled to particular platforms or ecosystems. Tomodex also allows for custom fields for any other sort of memos you want to keep on your friends, like remembering their hometowns or favourite drink.
The web app is already useable but is still undergoing continued development, with plans to expand to a mobile app.
A lightweight CMS custom built to suit the personal website work I do.
I was previously using free headless CMSs like Forestry.io and Decap CMS, but these were invariably not robust enough in the areas I needed them to be, and sometimes overkill in other areas that resulted in confusing UX for my non-developer clients.
I developed Kaki CMS to work exactly with my own personal workflow around building such websites, providing a better user experience for my clients and also providing me with a single portal to manage the CMS connections of all my clients.
A private microblogging social media experience created especially for a friend group of mine who got really into doing our own version of Refinery29's Money Diaries.
Share your day-to-day expenditures with a closed group of friends, but also get a peek into the lives around those spending habits.
Open beta and still under active development.
These are some small-scale web-based dabblings and experiments.
Here are some projects I have contributed to as a web developer and designer. If you are a creator with web needs, feel free to reach out. Let's work together.
